RightWay GPS Car Kit FAQ'sWHAT DEVICES DOES THE RW GPS CAR KIT SUPPORT?The RW GPS Car Kit is compatible with iPod touch/iPhone 4/iPhone 3GS or 3G. (Requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later.) HOW DO I POWER ON MY RW GPS CAR KIT?Connect the included USB car charger. This will power the RW GPS Car Kit and charge your iPhone or iPod touch. CAN I CONNECT THE AUDIO OUTPUT FROM THE RW GPS CAR KIT TO MY CAR AUDIO SYSTEM?Yes, if your car has an AUX input jack. The RW GPS Car Kit has a 3.5mm output jack to connect to your car's AUX in jack. (AUX cable is not included). CAN I HEAR PHONE CALLS THROUGH MY CAR STEREO IF THE RW GPS CAR KIT IS CONNECTED VIA AUX INPUT?Phone calls can only be heard through the built-in loudspeaker of the RW GPS Car Kit via Bluetooth connection. On the other hand, music can be played either through the loudspeaker or your car stereo via the AUX jack. HOW IS THE GPS SIGNAL TRANSMITTED TO iPHONE TOUCH?Your iPhone or iPod touch must be docked in order to make use of the RW GPS Car Kit receiver. When docked, all installed GPS apps will utilize the Traveller’s receiver. MY GPS KIT HAS BEEN PAIRED WITH MY IPHONE, BUT IS NOT CONNECTED. WHAT SHOULD I DO?If the RW GPS Car Kit is paired but does not connect, press and hold the Bluetooth button for 1 second. MY IPHONE OR IPOD TOUCH IS IN THE RW GPS CAR KIT, BUT NOT RECEIVING SATELLITE DATA. WHAT SHOULD I DO?Remove your iPhone or iPod touch from the RW GPS car kit and re-seat it on the connector. I HEAR ALTERNATOR NOISE OR A HUM WHEN USING THE 3.5mm STEREO AUDIO CABLE AND THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING. WHAT SHOULD I DO?Consider using a ground loop isolator (sold separately). By installing a ground loop isolator the alternator noise will be filtered. |
